My name is Katie French and I am a Parent Governor here at Forsbrook Primary School. My day job is in business intelligence for a non-profit organisation supporting communities. I have lived in Forsbrook for the last 8 years and love everything about our community, of which the school and the Church play an important role. I have two children who attend the school and in my spare time I enjoy being my with family, going on walks with our mini-dachshund (Arlo), reading, listening to music (mainly on vinyl) and also watching a good series on Netflix!
School is such a big part of our children’s lives and encourages them to be the best that they can be, in a loving and safe environment. I feel passionate that all children should have the opportunity to make the most of their time at school and embrace the experiences that it brings – no matter what their background or circumstances. The parent ‘voice’ is really important and as a Parent Governor I want to play a part in being that ‘voice’, add value by ‘giving something back’ and help to make a difference.
I’m really happy to have this opportunity to play a part, however big or small.
