A Message from the Nursery Manager
A very warm welcome to Forsbrook Nursery. We feel privileged that you are showing an interest in our wonderful setting, whether as a current or perspective parent.
Our web site is designed to give you valuable information on the aims, organization and learning, which takes place throughout the day, hopefully answering many of your questions.
Forsbrook Nursery has strong Christian links with St. Peter’s Church and we are proud of our Christian values.
Our nursery is governor run and located within Forsbrook C of E Primary School. We are lucky to have a designated Baby, Toddler and Pre-school room, all offering outdoor free-flow provision. We also benefit from the many amenities around the school, such as the use of the KS1 and KS2 halls, library, eco-garden, Lucy’s garden, both of the school playgrounds and the surrounding fields.
As a setting, we follow the ‘Birth to Five Matters’ guidance. This assists us in our planning, thus enabling us to provide fun and meaningful opportunities and activities which help the children to develop and grow. For example, we visit St. Peter’s Church, invite the pre-school children into the setting after hours for our Christmas bedtime stories and welcome external visitors, such as the police force.
We pride ourselves on our open door policy and close partnership with parents. We invite parents into the setting to take part in our parent workshops, to watch their children in a Christmas performance and sports day. Not forgetting the extended family, we also invite grandparents into pre-school to be a mystery reader. Also we regularly send pictures and videos to parents using our ‘2 simple’ parent share app.
Every child at Forsbrook Nursery is valued as a unique individual and we all strive to ensure that we provide the best for your children. We know that children achieve more when parents and settings work together. In order to ensure your children make great progress, we follow both statutory and non-statutory assessments, such as the ‘2 year integrated check’ and personalized progress reports, whether this be written or face-to-face.
We hope that the information, provided on this website, will be useful and answer any questions you may have. However, the best way to get a real feel for Forsbrook Nursery is to come and visit, you are always welcome. Please do not hesitate to contact us to arrange an appointment and see our beautiful children and wonderful setting in action.
Kindest regards
Mrs Holdcroft
