This half term the children adventured to the depths of the ocean with the character, Stanley, taken from the fictional tale, Somebody Swallowed Stanley.
It was during this half term that the children learnt more about keeping our oceans clean and how important recycling is. The children even recycled themselves, turning old t-shirts into a reusable bag. This text allowed for the children to write a pledge letter stating how they will keep the oceans clean and engage with poetry, even writing poems themselves.
We also adventured out of school to the Children’s toy museum at Sudbury to further learn about toys from the past and what materials they were made from and comparing this to materials used to make todays toys.
