Year 4 stepped back in time to meet a Victorian character from the Flint and Bone Mill on our trip to the Etruria Industrial Museum. We strolled along the towpath to learn about the local canals and how locks work before taking part in a ‘Build a canal’ workshop where we discovered how and why canals were built and how they changed our local landscape. It was a fabulous opportunity to discover more about local history!
