Dear Parents,
Re: Y1 School Trip – The Children’s Country House, Sudbury Wednesday 5th May 2026
As part of our History focus ‘Toys,’ we are arranging for the Year One children to go on a trip to the toy museum at Sudbuy on Tuesday 5th May 2026. This will be a wonderful and exciting experience for the children where they will learn more about the toys from the past.
We will be leaving school at 9.30am. Children should arrive to school as normal and we aim to return before school ends at 3:15pm. If for any reason we run late, we will inform you via class dojo.
For comfort, children need to wear their school PE kit on this day and will also need a packed lunch and drink in a named carrier bag (no glass bottles please). As your child is entitled to universal infant free school meals, if you would like a packed lunch from our caterers please select the option on Parent Pay when you complete your consent form.
In order for the visit to go ahead as planned, we require a voluntary contribution of £19.25 per child, payable on parent pay under payment item Y1 Children’s Country House no later than 30th April 2026. This is broken down as follows:
Admission Fee £8
Coach Fee £12.58
School Contribution – £1.61
Transaction charge £0.28
TOTAL £19.25
This statement outlines the school’s policy regarding voluntary contributions for activities:
- Equal treatment for all pupils: No child will be treated differently based on whether their parents contribute financially.
- Activity viability: If there aren’t enough voluntary contributions to cover the costs, the activity will be cancelled.
- Refunds: Any payments made will be fully refunded if the activity is cancelled.
This ensures fairness and transparency while emphasising the importance of collective support to make such activities possible.
If for any reason you do not give permission for your child to attend the Y2 visit or agree to pay the voluntary contribution of £19.25, please email admin2@forsbrook.staff.sch.uk.
Should we not receive an email by 27th March, we will assume your child will attend and you agree to pay the charges. This information is essential in order us to confirm the numbers of children attending with the venue.
Consent for the visit and payments can be made by ParentPay under payment Item “Y1 Children’s Country House 2026.”
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Hackney & Mrs Pickford
