What an amazing half term it has been in Reception Class, learning all about real life Superheroes – amazing people who have amazing jobs.
The children kick started their learning with an inspirational trip to Apple Tree Town to engage in exciting role play scenarios with their friends.
The children began their Literacy learning based on the story ‘The Naughty Bus’. The children were shocked to find a crime scene in the classroom… they became detectives and discovered the Naughty Bus had been up to no good! They wrote a letter and hand delivered it to Mrs Cooke who helped us to solve what had happened.
In Maths, the children explored the wider mathematical world of AB and ABB patterns and explored their number knowledge of the ‘5 and a bit’ concept.
In other areas of learning the children developed their performing skills through singing songs and watching their performances back.
They also enjoyed exploring our new music station! They’ve had a great time making music and singing along!
