This half term, in history, we have been learning about Ancient Greek life and achievements and their influence on the western world. We learned about Alexander the Great’s invasions and what life was like in Athens and Sparta.
In English, we have been learning about Greek mythology and exploring the themes of pride and greed. We wrote stories using the structure of the King Midas but putting our own twist on the tale.
In maths, we have been learning about area and perimeter of triangles and parallelograms. We have been plotting coordinates in all four quadrants as well as translating and reflecting shapes.
During science week, we learned about microorganisms and carried out an investigation to find out what temperature yeast grows best. We used our findings to make bread. It was delicious!
In RE, we answered the question, “What difference does the resurrection make for Christians?”. We explored what Christians believe about the resurrection and thought about our own beliefs. We enjoyed visiting church to take part in our Easter service.
