It’s been a term of performance in Year 3 this term as we have been putting together our Y3/4 production.
‘You are special’ was a very special production with a very special message of kindness, empathy and self-worth. It taught us all a lot! Not only in the special message but towards our English speaking and listening objectives and our PSHE objectives; learning to take turns and care for others with support.
In our curriculum work, we have delved into the wonderful world of fractions in maths. We have learnt about unit and non-unit fractions and our small steps have been instrumental in understanding fractions well.
In English, we have worked on learning about and understanding the Stone Age to the Iron Age which was also our history focus. We have travelled through time, carefully unpicking the key areas to better understand how this period impacted on our lives in Britain.
We invited the special ladies in our lives to our Mother’s Day workshop where we had a lovely afternoon crafting and creating together.
We used our Design and Technology lessons to create shell structures that would house a special present for our mums; a lovely cupcake to enjoy while relaxing on Mothering Sunday.
It was also World Book Day at the beginning of term so we celebrated by dressing as our favourite characters. We also took part in science week, exploring forces and how magnets have a special invisible connection.
In such a short term, we have certainly been very busy.
