Today, our Reception, KS1 and Lower KS2 children had a wonderful time engaging in our special Spiritual Development Day, led by our wonderful Sophie and the amazing volunteers from St Peter’s Church.
The team created beautiful prayer and reflection spaces, giving pupils the opportunity to pause, reflect and explore faith in meaningful and creative ways.
Throughout the day, children have been:
- Exploring what it means to see the world through God’s lenses – thinking about compassion, kindness and understanding. ✨
- Learning different ways to pray and reflecting on how we can pray for others. 🙏
- Praying for loved ones and considering how we show care and love. 💛
- Discussing how to disagree well – understanding that we can hold different views while still showing respect. 🤝
It has been fantastic to see such thoughtful engagement and meaningful discussions across the school today.
We now look forward to the rest of the school taking part tomorrow and experiencing these special reflection activities. A huge thank you to Sophie and all the volunteers from St Peter’s Church for supporting the spiritual growth of our whole school community.
