This half term Reception Class immersed themselves into the wonderful world of Superheroes.
They kick started their learning with a wonderful trip to Apple Tree Town Role Play Centre to learn all about real life superheroes and the super jobs they do. The children then delved into the amazing world of fictional superheroes, learning all about Supertato. They became amazing authors and had a super go at writing a story all about a Vegetable Superhero… Super Pumpkin was one of our favourites! This vegetable exploration continued in our science learning as we explored what types of food make a healthy meal. We also had a special visit from the dentist, where the children learnt all about how to keep their teeth healthy. In maths the children have become Doubling Masters (and Musical Masters) as they became confident with their knowledge of doubles and even learnt a doubles rap!
