Year 6 Autumn 1

Oct 24, 2024 | Year 6 2024/2025

We have had such a busy start to our Year 6 journey!

In Maths, we tackled operations with brackets, explored the order of operations, and delved into fractions. Problem-solving was key, sharpening our mathematical skills!

English saw us crafting diary entries, building suspenseful action scenes, and mastering dialogue while reinforcing our grammar knowledge.

In Science, we studied the human body, exploring the circulatory system, blood vessels, the heart, and how exercise affects us—an exciting journey through biology, we even made our own blood!

Art took us from 2D to 3D, where we designed our own Bigfoot models and enhanced them with digital backgrounds for a realistic touch.

In Computing, we learned about internet protocols and packets, discovering how information travels across the web—complex yet fascinating!

Geography brought us to modern-day Greece, exploring its islands, food, and culture, while discussing how migration shapes the nation.

For RE, we reflected on the creation story, writing heartfelt poems to thank God for the beauty of our world.

We can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for us!
