From Myths to Tudors!
This half term has been packed with exciting learning across all subjects…
In English, we’ve been exploring myths, using Kai and the Monkey King as inspiration for our own stories. We focused on crafting vivid descriptions with expanded noun phrases, relative clauses, and fronted adverbials to bring our mythical worlds to life.
In guided reading, we delved into Odd and the Frost Giants, comparing characters and drawing links between different books we’ve read.
Our history lessons transported us back to Tudor times, where we examined paintings and inventories to uncover fascinating details about Henry VIII and everyday life in the 1500s.
In science, we became investigators, carrying out fair tests to explore forces such as air resistance and friction.
P.E. has been especially exciting as we started to explore our Harry Potter-themed dance, ready for our big performance at the Victoria Hall!
In R.E. we learned about how Muslims worship in Britain today, deepening our understanding of different faiths and practices.
A highlight of the term was our class assembly, where we proudly showcased our learning so far to our parents—it was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate all our hard work!
